DRS-Pokal: Rolling Devils enter quarterfinals

FCK Rolling Devils under their new coach Taz Capasso have played a successful group phase in the German national cup and entered the quarterfinals.
In round 1, the Devils achieved an unglamorous 68:50-win against second division team Mainhatten Skywheelers 2. After a good start, Kaiserslautern gave Frankfurt an easy game and in particular Heike Friedrich scored very well for Frankfurt. However, the Skywheelers with former devil Juliana Kromberg and old hands Lars Lehmann and Johannes Hengst could never seriously question the win for Kaiserslautern.
In round 2, Rolling Devils as expected faced the strong second division championship leader Roller Bulls and celebrated a safe 74:63 victory. After an even start, the Devils gained a clear lead in the second quarter and preserved it until the last quarter. Then the Bulls again showed their well-known fighting spirit and narrowed the gap down to only 7 points. But then Kai Möller und Jake Williams demoinstrated their master class and decided the game in favor of Kaiserslautern.
Rolling Devils will now for the third time in a row play the quarterfinal, this time against last season cup finalist RSB Thuringia Bulls on December 12 at 6pm in Kaiserslautern.
